Here is my fall newsletter that I made to talk about the birthday book club, upcoming book fair, and library hours.

When we think about social media, we think about spreading news to a lot of people at once if you have a good following. What we post on social media can make our school a better place and send out great information to families. The newsletter that I created was inspired by the library happenings in my elementary school at this time. We are in the fall season and our librarian is just now getting into the birthday book club with the students. She just sent out permission slips and the newsletter description almost exactly like how she will be running the club. We don't do morning announcements so I would have to change that part and I would need to add a part about their being a fee to join the club. Other than those few suggestions the birthday book club has been portrayed correctly. I added the section about the fall book fair because that is something also that will be coming up soon at our school. I would need to change it to the correct date but the information is good. The last section was the library hours and I liked the school hours and the book check out information that was provided. I think genAI did a great job creating this newsletter. It provided all three things I asked for and made it in an upbeat and happy tone like I suggested as well. Of course I will need to update things like hours to fit my needs but overall I think it created a great newsletter. I love the use of the images, I think it adds color and fun to the newsletter. I can see this being something I could easily add to social media to get information out to families quickly and with purpose. I like how it added a little introduction and conclusion in the newsletter, I also liked the bolded lettering and the italics because it added emphasis and importance to some words.

I haven't even used genAI until recently and I was very unsure of the whole process in the beginning but now looking and exploring all the things it can do, I want to use it more often. As teachers, we are always asking for more time, well by using these different AI programs you can save time and all you have to fix is minor details. I would recommend using these tools to others because of the ease of use and time saving qualities. I like the result of my genAI assisted newsletter and it has a lot of qualities that I would use in the future. I think that there are always we can improve our social media presence but I think AI can give us a great starting place and even good ideas to use as we are working on different projects. When you think about posting this on social media, it may be a little wordy but if people are willing to read what it says they are going to get important information. I think the graphics that were chosen help the newsletter stand out and make followers or parents want to read the newsletter.
